Full Bio:
Erika Porter has been teaching yoga since 2010 and has led multiple teacher trainings, dozens of workshops, and retreats over the years. She holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University and is the founder of Porter Physical Therapy, a private practice specializing in chronic pain, pelvic health, and preventative care.
Her extensive background in human movement and rehabilitation deeply informs the way she teaches. Erika’s classes emphasize thoughtful alignment, sustainable strength, and an appreciation for the body’s ability to adapt and heal. With a focus on intelligent sequencing and refined cueing, she helps students develop the skills to move efficiently, reduce strain, and prevent injury.
By cultivating long-term physical resilience, her teaching creates the foundation for students to practice without pain and to engage more fully in the transformative aspects of yoga, deepening their connection to body, mind, and spirit.
