Learn more about the classes Grace teaches below

Grace has been practicing yoga since she was a young college student back in 2010. Admittedly, she was first introduced to yoga by her mom (and some old VHS tapes) while growing up in Atlanta, Georgia; but it wasn’t until she discovered Asheville Community Yoga Center, where she took her first real yoga class and fell in love. Over the next two years, she practiced regularly, graduated from UNC Asheville with her BS in Health & Wellness Promotion, got certified as a personal trainer, and became entrenched in the study of holistic health, nutrition, and spiritual exploration. Then, after finishing a 3-week yoga immersion program in 2013, Grace knew for the first time that she wanted to be a yoga teacher. The following year, she finished her 250-hour teacher training from that same studio and began her journey as a teacher.

Since moving to Nashville in 2015, Grace has logged over 1200+ teaching hours, married the love of her life, and graduated with her MS in Exercise & Nutrition Science from Lipscomb UniversitY, all while deepening her yoga knowledge through personal practice and ardent self study. Her teachings are guided by the Hatha Yoga traditions of Krishnamacharya, TKV Desikichar, Sri Pattabi Jois, BKS Iyengar, the texts of the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, as well her passion for human physiology and functional wellness. She honors every student’s journey by encouraging them to connect with their bodies and do what is best in the moment. She remains inspired by what yoga can teach us about ourselves when we commit to living fully, loving fearlessly, and aligning our daily actions with our true nature.

Grace thrives best when traveling, practicing yoga, reading about science, drinking really good coffee, tending to her garden, and lounging at home with her husband and their dogs, Pack and Jolene.
