Chris Garcia
RYT 200, Reiki Practitioner, Student of Physical Therapy at Belmont University
Chris completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training at Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga in Virginia Beach, VA, in 2017. He believes yoga is more than just physical exercise—it’s a practice that nurtures both body and mind. In his classes, he emphasizes the balance between play and alignment, encouraging students to embrace the moments when they wobble or fall and to chuckle along the way.
With a teaching style that blends joy, adventure, and thoughtful sequencing, Chris offers an engaging and immersive experience, often accompanied by a carefully curated playlist. He also enjoys weaving in the rich history and mythology behind the postures, adding depth and meaning to the practice.
Outside of yoga, Chris is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Nashville, with plans to graduate in August 2025. His studies further inform his approach to movement and well-being, allowing him to guide students with both knowledge and care.
Whatever your goals or intentions are concerning practice, Chris is here to facilitate and hold space for you.
