Celeste Greene
Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500, YACEP
Celeste has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 15 years. She is trained in the Viniyoga lineage of TKV Desikachar under C. Bossart and the lineage of Sri Aurobindo under D.Pomerantz. Celeste currently works as a yoga therapist, splitting her time between her private practice at Living Yoga Studio and her clinical practice at Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt. She sees clients who suffer with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, cancer, hyper-sensitization, eating disorders, sleep challenges and sexual abuse.
Beyond seeing individual yoga clients, Celeste is deeply fulfilled by bringing her love of yoga, life experiences, shared wisdom and humor to others through mentoring teachers, teaching in teacher trainings, workshops and retreats. She is passionate about sharing yoga as not just a physical practice, but a way of living and a path towards being our authentic selves. Celeste seeks to be a continual student and is currently studying Vedic Chanting at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India.
Celeste's personal "yoga" practice extends beyond the mat. She paints, sculpts and designs with meditation as her focus (she has a special love for homes and interiors)! She lives on top of a hill in the woods with a dog, two cats and many wild animals - spending her free time cooking for friends, decorating, practicing art, playing with the animals or enjoying the beauty of nature. One day she hopes to be a certified wildlife rehabilitator.
