Part 1 - Pre-Flight (Beginner) 1:00pm - 2:00pm
This section will be dedicated to those who are curious and eager to learn and incorporate arm balances into their practice but need a little more know-how as well as strength and mobility before taking flight. Alexis will break down various aspects that will build the necessary skills to help you on your way! Learn proper prep poses before taking flight and more importantly, prepare yourself for holding the balance once you are there. Expect to learn proper entrances, mobility and strength drills for Crow, Side Crow, Flying Pigeon, and Eka Pada Koundinyasana II. Tailored for beginners, it's an ideal starting point to prepare for the more advanced techniques covered in Part 2.
Part 2 - Take Flight (Advanced) 2:15pm - 3:45pm
Designed for those ready to advance, this section delves deeper into the art of arm balancing. Alexis will demonstrate and assist with various entrances, connections and exits for the following arm balances: Crow, Flying Crow, Crane, Flying Pigeon, Eka Pada Koundinyasana I & II, Fallen Angel, Firefly, Angle 8, Grasshopper, and Shoulder-Press. This part builds on the foundations laid out in Part 1, introducing participants to advanced entrances, connections, and exits, enhancing both the complexity and grace of your practice. Advanced practitioners encouraged to register for the full workshop if seeking a thorough warm-up prior to the more advanced session!
